Conference Venue

Picture
The venue for the 2018 conference is auditorium at the Abercrombie Business School at The University of Sydney. As you will see from the photos and videos, this stunning new building has state-of-the art facilities. The auditorium has its own entrance at ground level (behind the tree) and it's just a short walk from the cafes, restaurants and shops of Newtown. The building has its own cafe, and is literally across the road from a pub for those who like a quick drink after a hard day's learning. Or for the more health-oriented you can access the University of Sydney Fitness and Aquatic Centre,  as a casual member for $7.50/day.
ABOUT THE VENUE
The auditorium is in Level B2 of the Abercrombie School of Business (University of Sydney). Below we have provided a video and images of the venue and the building in which it is housed.

GETTING AROUND

Train Icon
The easiest way to get to the venue is by public transport, and we strongly recommend this option. It is less than a 10 minute walk from Redfern Station (see map), or a few minutes walk from the bus stops outside the University of Sydney campus, on City Road. Sydney uses an Opal card for public transport, which you can buy at train stations, selected shops, or order online.  You can  click on this link if you want more info about the Opal Card.

Bus Icon
The bus stop closest to the Venue is on King street and Carillion Ave. The below routes stop here:
  352 Bondi Junction to Marrickville
  370 Leichardt to Coogee
  422 City to Kogarah
  423 City to Kingsgrove
  426 City to Dulwich hill
  428 City to Canterbury
  M30 Express Sydenham to Mosman

Car Icon
Driving is not the best way to get around Sydney, but should you choose to do so, there are some parking options nearby. The best place to park is on the university campus- which will not be as busy as usual as it will be outside semester. The current university charges are $24 per day for parking.   We've reproduced the parking map, which you can access online here.
